The Mother of Pergolas

One of the loveliest pergolas is in the Conservatory Garden in northern Central Park in New York City.

A-Gitate, A Garden Is The Answer To Everything, is a blog that aims to engage people with the premise that gardening can be the basis of every aspect in life - of living a life well centered.

The cultivation of a garden - working the earth with thought and beauty - will and can, sustain us in these fraught times. Gardening is not just about gardens; the garden yields more earth (compost,) more plants, food, flowers, insects - life, in short. With gardening, we can hope to live a more sustainable life. We cannot all be farmers, but we can garden, even if it's in a tin can on a basement window sill.

In a garden, we can talk about cooking, about eating, about marketing, about reading, about writing, about art - in short, about life.
